Fredericksburg, Virginia

This home was in the middle of the battlefield. The bullet holes in the wall are original to the war.

Confederate strong hold from which they held off the Federals December 13, 1862. The Confederates held off the Union army to within yards of this sunken road. They stayed behind the wall and used the stone wall as their shield.

Confederate Cemetary in Spotsylvania County. 600 soldiers have been buried here from the war.

Angel of Marye's Heights. What a heroic soldier. It breaks your heart knowing that brothers were fighting brothers. It's been amazing to realize that each man was really just defending their home and wanted their country preserved. For most it was a matter of survival, not personal hate.
